Owen Tellinghuisen

Biography

A native of Grand Rapids, Michigan, Owen Tellinghuisen, AAGO, is a senior at the Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, where he is pursuing a BM degree in organ performance in the studio of Janette Fishell. In 2019 he received the Wilson Piano Composition Award from the National Federation of Music Clubs (NFMC) for his piano solo work Sylvan Nightfall, and in May 2020 he received the NFMC’s Michael R. Edwards Graduating Senior Performance Award as an organist. He was also the winner of the NFMC Student Collegiate Award in Organ this year. An avid church musician, he currently serves as organ scholar at Trinity Episcopal Church in Bloomington, Indiana.
