Laura Bottei

Biography

Laura Bottei is a member of the AGOYO Committee and a recent graduate of the Jacobs School of Music, where she earned a Master of Music degree in organ studying with Chris Young. Since graduating in May 2023, she is currently spending a year as the music resident at Westminster Presbyterian Church in Dayton, Ohio. A native of Green Bay, Wisconsin, Laura began studying piano at the age of 5 and went on to earn bachelor’s degrees in music and psychology from Loyola University Chicago in 2021, where she studied with Steven Betancourt. She has previously held positions at First United Methodist Church in Columbus, Indiana, and Fourth Presbyterian Church and Madonna della Strada Chapel in Chicago. Outside of organ and church music, Laura has professional interests in psychology and mental health, and is an amateur competitive powerlifter, vegan cook, and dog lover in her free time.
